Christmas 2008!

Well Christmas is officially over. Thomas, Ava, Ashton and I had a WONDERFUL Christmas! First, Nana & Papa joined us the weekend before. Ava had lots of fun opening the gifts & her own stocking from my mom. The weather was beautiful here that weekend so Ava enjoyed spending Saturday outside playing with her new toys.

Then on Tuesday we had Thomas' whole family here to celebrate...then leaving on Wednesday. And of course the four of us had our own Christmas celebration the day of... with gifts from Santa!

We hope everyone had a great christmas I know we sure did.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!

Yesterday afternoon it started snowing here and did not let up until around 7. Ava loved the snow and of course eating it. When daddy got home it was off to build a snow man. We enjoyed the evening with a once in a lifetime Texas snow. Enjoy!

lOOK WHAT I CAN DO!

Ava has become the little gymnast, this girl LOVES Gymnastics...

We are getting BIGGER mommy!

Yesterday we had Ashton's 4 month check up and Ava's 2 year check up with our fabulous Dr. whom we LOVE!! Both of them did great Ava got 1 shot and poor Ashton 4. I just can't believe Ava is almost 2. The Dr did say he estimated her adult height to be 5'3" just like mommy :).

Here are their stats:

weight: 16 lbs 7 oz (80%)
length: 24 in (45%)
head circumference: 41.2 cm (45%)

Ava
weight: 25 lbs (35%)
length: 33 1/4 in (45%)
head circumference: 47 cm

So let me start out by saying Ava is almost 2. Since I am staying at home with her I have been teaching her numbers, colors, and amongst other things potty training. No were not even almost there yet, but for the last 2 poopies she has ran to HER potty saying poopoo, and has GONE. I am so HAPPY! Here are the latest photos of her from this morning! Fall Fun!

On Sunday we headed out for a new adventure about an hour away...Dewberry Farm. We met Thomas' sister's family, Grandma and Grandpa there! Lots to do and lots of FUN for all of us. Lets just say we left at closing. mining for gems...

So, after nap today Ava and I decide to spend the afternoon romping in the grass...while she snacks on her favorite.... yes cold green beans!

She is such a joy to be with. We enjoy our time together while Ashton naps. I am always surprised each day by her vocabulary. When I asked her to pose for the pictures today she would say "sure" and "oh, I know". She is always making me laugh. Daily!!

It was a gorgeous day on Sunday...here is Ashton lounging in the shade!

Ava had such a good time trick-or-treating, but I think she had even more fun handing out her candy!! We live in a great neighborhood with lots of families out for the evening. We enjoyed seeing all the kids dressed up... this was all new to Ava. Oh and Ashton wasn't quite sure what was going on...he slept in the bjorn while trick-or-treating and then was still half asleep when we got back home. fun- fun!!
