Texas Blubonnets

I have been dyeing to take pictures of the kids and the bluebonnets that have been in bloom now for over 2 weeks. Finally the weather was nice and when Daddy got off work we drove two miles from our house. And got these shots! Here in College Station they are all along Highway 6...and they are just beautiful. Ava loves flowers and Ashton bless his heart wasn't sure what we wanted him to do! We might try again before there gone...

This week we have been cooped up playing indoors due to the crappy weather. I did let Ava test out her new umbrella.

Ashton has been been a little fussy while cutting his third tooth. I can't believe it, he is growing up way to fast for mommy.

We're Alive!

We are finally all better after a week of illness' struck my house. Both Ashton and I had temperatures of over 101. Come to find out I had a bladder infection and he was coming down with a horrible cold on top of cutting his FIRST tooth! Needless to say we are much better and have spent the last several days outside enjoying this beautiful weather. Other good news is... Ava will be starting Mothers Day Out on Thursdays which I am sooooo excited about for her and me :) Here are a few pics from the last couple of days!

Ashton weighed 21 lbs 2 oz & Ava 25 lbs 2oz.

He is a healthy little boy, thats all I have to say!!

R.I.P.

Yesterday, a horrible tragedy with the neighbors dogs has left us without our Roxy. We will miss her terribly. She was given to me for my birthday from Thomas...before we were married at only 8 weeks old. She has been our "baby" well before we even had kids and has been spoiled from day one.

Rest in Peace Sweet Girl.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Daddy surprised us this morning with roses and big chocolate chip cookie! Now we are off to lunch...Hope each of you are enjoying your day with family or friends.

We did it...

Well actually Ava did it!! She is POTTY TRAINED!!!

We are going on our second week of NO diapers. Honestly, I am amazed at how easy this has been. She loves having the control and feels like such a big girl. Of course I bought her Dora panties and we have done the m&m thing after each time...but really I have to give all the credit to her. She can be playing and will run in to go potty, goes right away in the mornings and will just be so proud of herself!!! Of course we are to, that is one less in diapers.

These are some baskets Ava has in her room she loves to get INSIDE! Tonight before bath she was trying (yet not capable of lifting him) to put Ashton in one.
I rescued him and decided what a great photo op ...such a sweet, easy going boy!

Time flies...

I can hardly believe that this precious boy I have is 1/2 a year old already!

He's is a perfect addition to our family, he loves his sisters hair, gets the biggest grin when he hears his daddy's voice, loves it when mommy makes funny faces and tickles my rolly polly thighs, still enjoys swinging to fall asleep at naps, just started taking a bottle, doesn't miss a meal, loves the view from sitting and can roll over & over & over!

Oh my Darlings...

This weekend Mimi was here to visit and spend her Christmas with the kids, these are a few pictures she took with her camera! Ashton was not quite sure about the grass he was sitting in. I love his serious face. We had a great time spending the day outside on Saturday... It was 82 degrees here in Bryan.

Christmas 2008!

Well Christmas is officially over. Thomas, Ava, Ashton and I had a WONDERFUL Christmas! First, Nana & Papa joined us the weekend before. Ava had lots of fun opening the gifts & her own stocking from my mom. The weather was beautiful here that weekend so Ava enjoyed spending Saturday outside playing with her new toys.

Then on Tuesday we had Thomas' whole family here to celebrate...then leaving on Wednesday. And of course the four of us had our own Christmas celebration the day of... with gifts from Santa!

We hope everyone had a great christmas I know we sure did.
